Dr. David Cage, OD

cageDr. David Cage, OD is a Gannon University graduate and Erie native. He earned his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2004. He practiced with Scott Griffith, M.D., until 2009 when he joined Bayfront Eyecare. He resides in Greene Township with his wife Bethany and sons Gavin and Hudson.

At the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Cage was a clinical tutor and a member of the school's judicial board. He received Clinical Excellence awards in Ocular Disease, Low Vision, Pediatrics, and Contact Lenses. Dr. Cage is board certified to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Lion's Club, and currently serves as a board member for the Sight Center of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Special interests include Diabetes, Ocular Disease, Glaucoma, Age Related Macular Degeneration, Ocular Emergencies, Dry Eye Syndrome, Contact Lenses, and High Prescriptions.

Convenient Location

We are located in the Bayfront Professional Building between 3rd and 4th Streets on State Street. Patients should park in the reserved parking area behind the building via 4th Street and bring their parking stubs to our office for validation. Entering the Bayfront Professional Building from the reserved lot will place you on the second floor of the facility. Our office is the first on the right.

Your Emergency Is Our Emergency

Call our office at 814.454.6517 anytime to be directed to emergency numbers. We want to be the first place you call with any eye problem. State of the art microscopes allow us to examine the eye and facial areas around the eye for infection, foreign bodies or injury. After assessing the situation, a treatment plan will be formulated and explained to you. Follow-up visits will be scheduled as needed.
